The Anglican Bulletin Board: Inspiration on our Events Page
Have you seen our new Events Page? It’s a bulletin board for the entire province, a place where anyone can discover the latest happenings within their own diocese or across the Anglican Church in North America.
It’s only been a few weeks since launch, and I’m thrilled to share that the page has become a vibrant hub of activity. We’ve already seen listings for more than 50 events!
A Bulletin Board for Connection & Inspiration
When we launched the Events Page, we envisioned it as more than just a calendar. Like a bulletin board, we wanted it to be a dynamic resource connecting our community. By raising awareness of events happening from parish to parish and diocese to diocese, we’re not just sharing information—we’re building connections.
What’s more, the richness and variety of events on our page is sure to inspire ideas through cross-pollination. Want inspiration for the next event you design in your parish or diocese? Check out what’s happening across the province. It’s like the inspiration of a Provincial Assembly, but available all the time!
What We’ve Noticed So Far
As I’ve watched the Events Page come to life, certain patterns and themes have emerged. Here are some of the types of events that have been lighting up our bulletin board:
- Music Training: These intensives offer a unique blend of fellowship and learning, where Anglicans of varying ages can come together to hone their musical talents in a spiritually enriching environment. In July we saw music training offered by Nashotah House, St. Andrew’s Academy, and the Chapel of the Cross.
- Summer Camps: Whether it’s kids exploring their faith through adventure or families retreating together, summer camps provide an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth and community building. We showcased opportunities from Camp Araminta, Camp Jubilee, and Camp Crucis.
- Mission Opportunities: Our churches are on a mission, both locally and globally. These opportunities range from local outreach to international missions, each one a chance to live out the Great Commission. Discover Mission Opportunities
- Clergy (and Spouse) Retreats: These retreats offer a time of rest, reflection, and renewal for those serving in ministry, as well as their spouses. It’s a time to recharge and reconnect with God and each other. Find Clergy Retreats
- Diocesan Synods/Convocations: Key moments in the life of our dioceses, these gatherings allow clergy and lay leaders to come together for worship, fellowship, and decision-making. See Upcoming Synods
- Conferences: These events bring together Anglicans from all over to engage in deep theological reflection, practical ministry training, and inspiring worship. Join a Conference
- Online Events: In today’s digital age, we’re seeing a rise in online gatherings—from webinars to virtual prayer meetings—that allow us to stay connected, no matter where we are. Check Out Online Events
