Announcing our New Ministry President
Anglican Compass is glad to announce its new Ministry President: The Rev’d Dr. Peter Johnston.
Peter is a graduate of Yale College (BA 2009), Yale Divinity School (MDiv 2014), and the University of Louisiana (PhD, expected 2022). A scholar of theology and poetry, he wrote his dissertation on John Milton’s epic poem, Paradise Lost. Peter is the Founding Rector of Trinity Anglican Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, and Dean of the Louisiana Deanery in the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast, serving under Bishop Clark WP Lowenfield. He lives near Lafayette with his wife Carla and their six children.

I thank God for the remarkable ministry of Anglican Compass, and I thank our Founding Editor, our founder, for his visionary effort and the trust placed in me to carry it on. Anglican Compass is a digital front porch, where onlookers come to learn more, and where many enter the front door. To the readership of Anglican Compass, I ask for your prayers and your support in this significant missionary work.
My two immediate priorities as Ministry President are as follows:
- To bring on a full-time Managing Editor, funded by our readers
- To refocus on our core competence, in five editorial categories: Rookie Anglican, Missions, Anglican Family, Anglican Pastor, and Arts & Culture.
