Discover how she began her journey with liturgical art, the creative process, and the practical and theological considerations that shape the pairing of music and art. This is a unique chance to deepen your appreciation for the service and the beautiful visuals that accompany it.

Advent Lessons and Carols

Come and Join us for our annual Lessons & Carols event followed by a delightful reception on the lawn. The history of lessons and carols goes back to Cambridge, England, 1918 where some felt there was a need for more imaginative and creative worship in the church. This advent service traditionally contains nine lessons from scripture telling the story of salvation from the waiting of the first coming of the messiah, Jesus Christ, to the second coming for which we now wait.  The lessons are interspersed with beautiful choral anthems and advent congregational carols.
