Course Description
This course is an investigation into the Old Testament book of Exodus, which contains the foundational experience of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, the covenant with the Lord at Mount Sinai, and the induction of Israel into the life of worshipping the Lord in the tabernacle. The focus of the course is on the text of the book of Exodus, as God’s inspired Word. The content, structure, and theology of the book will be explored through in-depth study of various key passages. Emphasis is also placed on the significance of this revelation elsewhere in the Old Testament, its resonance with the New Testament, its history of effect throughout Christian history, and formative impact on Christian faith today.
