About Our Parish

Trinity Anglican Church of the Anglican Diocese of the South in the ACNA is seeking a new Rector. We are a vibrant, inclusive multicultural community of faith located just outside of Atlanta, GA. Dedicated to spiritual growth and hospitality, our congregation embraces diverse traditions and backgrounds.

In the Winter of 2004, the West Georgia Anglican Church, celebrated their first worship in the family room of a private home. In April, the new church voted to rename their new church Trinity Anglican Church (TAC). In September, TAC became affiliated with the Anglican Mission in America (AMiA).

The new church drew families from the surrounding communities of Bremen, Temple, Acworth, Lithia Springs, Powder Springs, and Newnan. A steering committee was formed, and in the Spring of 2005, Fr. Steven Saul was called to be the new rector. Fr. Steven relocated from Little Rock, AK and the new parish began in earnest.

Trinity embraces two Worship services each Sunday: Rite 1 in the Book of Common Prayer 1979 at 8:30 and the Renewed Ancient Text from the Book of Common Prayer 2019 at 10:30. Prayer is heavily emphasized at Trinity with prayer offered to individuals during communion and after the service. A strong group of intercessory prayer warriors are available 24/7. There are regularly scheduled prayer meetings in addition to special healing prayer services and a remembrance service for those grieving. We also have healing prayer teams available to travel to individuals at home for prayer and for house blessings.

About Our Community

Situated roughly 20 miles west of Atlanta along Interstate 20, the environs of Douglasville, Georgia, feature a blend of suburban convenience, historic small-town character, and scenic Piedmont foothills. Serving as the county seat of Douglas County, the area is bordered by Cobb, Paulding, Carroll, and Fulton counties, offering a landscape marked by rolling hills, wooded acreage, and proximity to regional natural landmarks like Sweetwater Creek State Park. The surroundings balance a bustling commercial corridor—anchored by Arbor Place Mall, GA-5 retail centers, and Wellstar Douglas Hospital—with a preserved 19th-century historic downtown district and quiet, rural pocket communities.

Grounded in the motto “New Growth, Old Charm, Always Home,” Douglasville’s culture thrives on a blend of Southern heritage, community-focused arts, and a burgeoning modern identity. The city preserves its roots through a historic downtown district featuring nineteenth-century architecture and textile history, while active organizations like the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County foster local galleries, performances, and public festivals. Beyond its traditional small-town community events and local sports at Hunter Park, the area has embraced a pop-culture footprint as a popular filming backdrop for major Hollywood productions and Netflix series, creating a unique mix of nostalgic local charm and contemporary entertainment energy.
