Dr. Esau McCaulley is The Jonathan Blanchard Associate Professor of New Testament and Public Theology at Wheaton College and a priest in the Diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO). He is the author of Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope (November 2020) and How Far to the Promised Land: One Black Family’s Story of Hope and Survival in the American South (2023).
